So the other day Rori Lane pipes up from her carseat and informs Tawni and me that she 'wants a baby sister named Charlie.' Rori goes back and forth between wanting a baby brother and a baby sister, and we've had an enormous amount of fun trying to coax name ideas out of our 3-year old sprite. As far as we're concerned, Charlie is not an option for a girl - or boy for that matter. The images that come to mind with 'Charlie' are that of a late evangelist, his infamous one-liners, bucket of chicken and over-use of 'halelujah' as a punch line.
Anyway, over the past couple of weeks 'Charlie' has become code language for exciting news we've barely been able to contain without leaking prematurely. While 'Charlie' is not up for consideration, we are very proud to share with all of our friends in blogland that Tawni and I (and Rori), after seeing the healthy heartbeat on a sonogram screen, are expecting a November baby boy or girl (we won't know the gender for a few more weeks)!
We'll keep you posted on the development of the latest Escudero edition.
